Commissions!!!

So, I have bought into all the craze. If its hip I'm there, LOL. From now until some-point-later, I will be doing SKETCH CARD commissions of who ever and whatever YOU want!!! Amazing. Better than that, you get to chose how many characters and whether or not you want it in color, inked or simply pencils. And all it costs is $13!! That includes the price of shipping.

Happy New Years!!!!

Here it is ladies and gents! I wish I were getting paid bukoos of money for this but alas... This was just for me. Enjoy!!!

Iiiiiit's AQUAMAN!!!!

Possibly the lamest character in existence to continue to garner steady readers, I decided to take a crack at making him look cool... or at least passable. And then I decided to kill him in strange ways instead.

'57 Chevy

This is a technical rendering I did for the same auto shop, Hot Rod Jim's. Traditional pencil work, Flash for the inking process and then finished in PS CS3.

This is a commission I did for a friend for his auto shop. He will be taking this, and the Truck(the truck is actually a project of his) to SEMA. Check out his website, they do cool stuff.

Ares is a character that I am not sure marvel has figured out what to do with yet. His mini was incredibly awesome but so far he has been turned into the angry version of Wonderman for the Dark Avengers comic. With fluctuating power levels and bad-ass to not so bad-ass stories and actions, I wish they would get a writer in there who would focus on the characters as much as they do the overall story plan. Anyhoo, I dig him so here he is in all his sketch-i-fied glory.

And then, of course, I also have Franky. This was done a month ago but you get to see it now. I have been mulling over a Frankenstein story for a while now and when I had the chance to draw Frankenstein for TTS's sketch challenge, I decided to do my story's version. More on the story later... Just know that it involves the fifties, Austria, Einstein and Heidi. Oh yeah!

The Haunt

...is a cool new comic by T. McFarlane and Ryan Ottley, involving more undead super spies! Who saw that one coming LOL? I did this piece for Ten Ton Studios' sketch challenge and then forgot to turn it in due to school and other projects. Enjoy!

This is a picture of Solomon Kane that I did after seeing the sketch challenge over at Tentonstudios.com. I didn't see it until too late. Oh well, that seems to happen a lot. Take care!

So the last ton of posts and the bunch that will come have all been me sketching to sketch in between classes while trying to graduate. Its a good thing I am going into the art world, I don't think the corporate world is interested in me doodling in company meetings. Anyhow, this is a sketch I plan to paint.

These are the facets of my wife's psyche in Care Bear form...

yes, I'm the sane one.

Marvel heroes and villains! This is what I draw in the hallways between and during classes when I don't have time to do the projects that matter.

Deadpool!!

...And the death of Sponge-Bob. It makes me so happy. :)

Deadpool!

Just sketchin' around for a short that I might do if I get a break between work, school and my other projects. Enjoy it or get takin' out by the same ninjas that got him...

Here it comes! Red Hulk versus Holocaust! My favorite villain in comics today versus my favorite villain from when I was, like, 9. I have no idea why these two would ever fight, and yes Holocaust would get his big orange behind handed to him but, darn it, I wanted to draw it.

Wonder Woman and More!

Howdy folks. With school back, project deadlines breathing down my back and a less than forgiving job, I can't seem to climb out from under what I would assume is an insurmountable pile of paper with a fat midget dancing on top of it. My only tools of escape so far have been a pencil, an eraser and my wife so here is some of what I've created with the first two while gasping for air under what I can only assume is my life(and so far my wife and I haven't created anything... Its a good thing).

I'll be back!

PS: Be sure to Check out the art auction for WONDER WOMAN DAY #4 and show your support!

Cartooning

More character design. Enjoy.

Snow Ball Fight

Soon to be painted. No real back story, just too much time in class.

Black Knight

I was tooling around online one evening between projects when I saw an Art Challenge on Tentonstudios.com and decided that while I didn't have time to join said contest, I still wanted to try my hand at this lame-ass character. I wasn't a very big fan of the pencilled pic but it does a great job of showing my thought process. The pencilled version had a lot of issues which end up being fixed or enhanced in the inking process. This is how I approach all of my pictures. The pencils are always very rough(or wrong for that matter) and instead of waiting and then coming back and reworking my art again in the pencils' stage I simply address them when I ink my art.

To tattoo or not to tattoo?

Here is a tat that I sketched out for a friend. I hope he digs it although if he doesn't, I'm gonna get it. Enjoy it or get eaten by the Foo-Dog!

Here I go again! One project down, 100000000 left to go. These two pieces are for a gallery show up in Dallas. The show starts August 22nd and is Star Wars themed(in case you could tell from the art) and will be hosted by Boom-Stick Comics. So get up there and check it out if you're in the area. Otherwise, enjoy my crappy photos of the art I sent in!

Character Designs

It's been a while and I haven't really had the chance to post anything new(or old for that matter). But now with my new apt. moved into, my wedding out of the way and my computers back online, its time to kick it into gear! So first up are a bunch of character designs I did in order to clep out of an art class that I really don't think I should have to take. And while the body of work should speak for itself, I have to make sure the Dept. Head knows I am dedicated to seeing my degree through if he's going to give me a pass on this. So without further adu...

Stuff!!!!

PS: I have another dozen pages or so to post later... The blog is going to explode!
