And now for something completely different...

This is older, but was really fun and quite a style departure from my heavy handed style. The Transformer is based on the beautiful artwork of Frank McIlhaney. The truck's front and back view are his artwork, while the Transformer is mine. It was part of an animation collaboration class. Someday, I will finish the animation, even if I have to do it all myself.

Hot Rod Jim's Auto Shop 1932 Roadster

Here's a new promo Piece for Hot Rod Jim's of Luling, TX.

Mas Video Game Art

... Aaaand a dirty viking from Skyrim. He's a Selsun man.

Video Game Art

A few BG's for Loading Bar Promos at Spill.com, some character designs for the same and the opening BG for the video reviews.

And More Spill Designs

...Stereotyped Transformers, Atom and two stills from animations. Enjoy!!

Spill Designs

And... here are a shit ton of Spill.com characters from various reviews.

Spill.com Banner Images

Here are a few images I did for Carousel Banners on the Spill.com website. The two logo images were just concept work that I liked but weren't used(not even close to what we needed, lol. Good thing they were fun to do).

Cyrus' Blu Ray Podcast

So, I've been neglectful of my blog lately. Mainly because I have been firmly entrenched in the world of animation and therefore have very little to show that isn't a video. Soooo... I figure I will have to start at least posting up concept art etc, for the website I work for, Spill.com. This is a banner picture I did to head a podcast by one of the site's head movie-reviewers, Cyrus. It's done in the Spill.com house style, so if it looks like a departure from my normal style... That's because it is, lol.

It got a lot of praise, considering how tiny it was on the site(I'm guessing that's why they liked it. lol). So now, here it is, in giganto-vision!

More to come, soon!

Rise of the Planet of the Apes Starring... Toby Maguire?

Unfortunately, thanks to a string of unfortunate crashes in Adobe Flash(F%&* you Adobe) I was unable to finish this piece in time for the most recent spill.com review for Planet of the Apes
And while I did parts of the animations in the review, this was mine. It would have been animated for the review, but you suckers just get the art. lol The premise is that Toby Maguire was originally slated to play James Franco's character and what would have happened according to the spill crew had he gotten the role.

Everyone's favorite childhood Activist with a mullet

Who the F$%& else was it supposed to be?!? I did this in the morning in order to loosen up again. I have a feeling this is going to become a ritual. Technically, as an artist who has to do this type of stuff to make rent... well... I should be doing a warmup everyday and should have BEEN doing them for a long time before now.
Anyhoo, I cheated with the background for sure but you can forgive me right? After all, I drew a mullet! Willingly! That should get me out of trouble for a while right? Right?!? lol

The Punisher

Two versions of a picture I recently completed for a step by step on another forum(which you faithful got to see here). Completely digital, colored and drawn in Flash Cs3. The B&W version was just something that I kind of liked the look to. Technically it was just a layer, not an actual finished product.

It says it all in the title. This will be the second job I have done for them. I have gotten quite a bit better since the first, thank goodness.

The Mighty Thor

This was a sketch I did on my wacom tablet. And then it stopped being a sketch and turned into an inking and coloring project/practice. This was done %100 in Adobe Flash Cs3. I love that program.

It's About Damned Time

So... Yeah. It's been a while since I posted anything. I haven't had a lot of time for any personal art lately but I am taking a hiatus from school, so the posts will probably get back to being at least semi regular(every other week or so rather than every 6 months. lol)

Anyhoo... KIAH!!!!! You lose.

Oh yeah... Did I mention that I love John K?

Flash Stuff

So as you all probably know by now, almost all of my clean ups and color work are done in Flash now. And considering my new job is nothing but flash animation, I just keep learning new 'secrets'. Anyhoo, here is a breakdown of one of my latest.
