Spill.com of Future Past

So, unfortunately, Spill.com hit a few speed bumps recently and the crew and I are scrambling hard to try to pick up the pieces.  We lost some really great guys and some great creators and content, but Spill will find a way to carry on.  In leu of the turmoil, a spillio mentioned drawing Korey and Cyrus into the cover of Uncanny X-Men #141, with the cancelled and hiatused shows as the bounty wall.  So here's what it would look like in my mind.  I'll probably play with the faces a bit if I get time to clean it up, but this is as far as I got for now.

Weight Lifter

So, I went to a weight lifting meet a week ago, to support a buddy of mine while he picked up shit that would rip off my arms, and saw a man straight out of a cartoon.  When I saw him, I swore to myself I would "Draw that strange lookin' dude, dammit."  So I did.  And just so you know, I had to do it from memory, but I swear that's what he looked like.  The proportions are spot on and his hair was that big.  I thought it was going to get up and fly away at some point, perhaps snagging a small child from the audience to eat.

Frankencastle

Ah, the wonders of cleaning house.  I just found a vinyl character that I had picked up at Target during Halloween.  So I finally did what I had planned to(before losing it in a never ending pile of stuff).  I present to you...  THAT GUY!

Oz the Great and FLYING MUTHA^&%*N' MONKEYS!!!

Disney.  Flying Monkeys.  Its elementary my dear vodka.  Hmm...  I should probably put down the glass...

Star Wars Uncut on Youtube!

I have finally started using my youtube channel for animation, so look out for more in the future.

Here comes more!  Its time for stills!  Basically, these are several of the key-frames from the finished animation(and one background, just cuz.  You're not the boss of me!  I can do what I want!)  The full animation is coming!

Star Wars Uncut: Empire Strikes Back Part 3

Heeeere's Storyboards!!!!  Threw these down as quickly as possible so I can finally get to actual animation.  I'm getting ahead on work, so hopefully I will be able to dedicate the weekend to spearheading this project.

The Notes are actually for me, in case I can't figure out what the scribbles are when I wake up.  It is 3 AM after all.  Who knows how truly coherent I am right now.  Blah.

Star Wars Uncut: Empire Strikes Back Part 2

Okey dokey...

Here are a couple of backgrounds for the short and a quick shot of the ATAT from the scene I am working on.  Much much more to come.

Star Wars Uncut: Empire Strikes Back

Howdy folks!  I hope everyone's Holidays are gearing up to be great.  I'll be spending mine here in Texas, with warm weather and dirt, but the family always makes it seem like a perfect Holiday Movie.

Anyway, I had been attempting to clear out some projects so I would have time to do this, and thankfully the boat didn't sail.

So, officially, I have picked up a scene for the latest iteration of 'Star Wars Uncut'.  This doesn't mean I actually get to have my scene in the feature, but I'm just happy I have the time to throw down for the spot.  The scene I chose is the part where Luke slashes open a hatch on an AT-AT and then throws a thermal detonator or something in it to make it go boom.

I will be attempting to keep a pretty detailed account of how I go about doing this scene, from character designs, to set pieces, and story boards to animation.  So you folks will finally get to see some of the crap I do...  Yay!

So, day one... morning one...  whatever, I scraped up some time between animations for the upcoming Jack Reacher review on Spill.com and sketched out my version of Luke, for the animation.  More is coming soon!
