Waspinator

I love Waspinator.  I don't know why.  I honestly shouldn't.  He is a whiny, cowardly moron but at the end of the day, he was my favorite character from the Beast Wars Cartoon and because my buddy Braden mentioned Beast Wars, now I am drawing him instead of working on my 8 million other unfinished projects.  CURSE YOU ARTISTIC ADHD!  CURSE YOU!!!!

WIP O' DOOM!!

As the all caps title denotes, this is my WORK IN PROGRESS O' DOOM!!!  Its Starscream Prime in G1 colors.  The way it's supposed to be.  I haven't done a background yet because I am both lazy and suck at backgrounds.  But it's going to happen or else.  Or else what?  EXACTLY.

Is the room stretching?!?

I haven't gotten to do anything for me in quite a while, so now I am.  I'm starting with the Stretching Portraits from the Haunted Mansion with a Marvel twist.  So here is the line work with a quick set of flats from Flash before I drag it into Photoshop and paint the background and add the touches to the line work to make the whole thing look painted.  I added a thumbnail of the original for simple comparison.  I hope y'all dig it!

I've done a strip for him before and I always put my stupid character into the strips.   I may very well someday put up my own strips that he stars in(I actually have around 60 finished strips I just never used with my guy).  In any case, this is how it turned out.  Now get your butt over to 3DBDotCom.com and check out his stuff.  Its pretty damned funny.

RIP Jim Kelly

Some crappy news hit the web today.  Actor, martial-artist and all-around good-guy, jim Kelly died today.  So here is a homage to Black Belt Jones.

Spill.com of Future Past

So, unfortunately, Spill.com hit a few speed bumps recently and the crew and I are scrambling hard to try to pick up the pieces.  We lost some really great guys and some great creators and content, but Spill will find a way to carry on.  In leu of the turmoil, a spillio mentioned drawing Korey and Cyrus into the cover of Uncanny X-Men #141, with the cancelled and hiatused shows as the bounty wall.  So here's what it would look like in my mind.  I'll probably play with the faces a bit if I get time to clean it up, but this is as far as I got for now.
