So, at the studio I work for, Powerhouse Animation, we have a group of japanese students that send us letters to practice english. In them, they draw a character and then describe them. In return we send them back artwork we have done for them on a postcard and a short letter so they can practice reading english. In any case, this is the art I did for a young man named Taiki.

Pick'em-up Truck
It has been a while, but with some work projects out of the way I was able to scrape up some time for a project for a buddy of mine who works on cars.

My wife and I will be welcoming our first child into the world this september and this was the card I gave to my mother to break the news. It will be her first grandchild from her three kids. I had been trying to figure out how to tell her without being too corny(A fatal flaw of mine), and I came up with the poem while working on animations at my day job. My mom was super stoked which is good since I just lost my father and she lost the greatest man to walk the earth and this rejuvenated her a bit. His name will be Kawika Nakoa and I can't wait to meet the little dude and tell him what an amazing man his grandfather was.
